Today's Drivetime blog by Simon Mayo is all about Sally Traffic, who is apparently leaving Drivetime in the next week or so. What's not clear is if she's leaving the show, or Radio 2 altogether.
Anyone know? |

Can't believe it! So many funny moments with the various presenters over the years, especially Johnnie Walker on Firday nights. Must see if I've any on mini disc.
Met her the first time I went to R2 when she was doing the early shift for a few months.

She's my favourite lady in the whole of the radio network
Really hope we still hear her in some capacity over the airwaves - to use a probably outdated expression _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

I dunno... there's something funny about this. Bobbi Pryor had to stop herself yesterday, before saying "Sally's taking some time off." I think this is more than a holiday. |

There is a rumour that Sally is a contestant in the new series of Strictly Come Dancing. We'll find out at the start of September! |

Obviously the guys down at Radio Today dont listen as Sally hasn't done Fridays for a while. Her last shift was today. Wonder if it was her idea too? |

It must have been Mark, she's not been doing Fridays for ages as she obviously just wants to work less. Maybe she's got a rich fella now!!

There might be less days, but are they longer days? I've noticed that the weekend traffic girls are still on duty well after 7:00pm. They've finished after the Drivetime show during the week. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

I think the last report goes out after the 8pm news, and they seem to start in the first hour of Graham Norton on Saturdays.

The reports are every hour during Graham Norton shows then after the news from 2pm upto 8pm on a Saturday. On a Sunday it's out of the news from 2pm. They do that as some shows are prerecorded on a Sunday. That could obviously change and introduced to live shows? I still think there is going to be more of a weekend shake up soon? |

Used to love the banter between Johnny Walker and Sally, they had a great chemistry.
I found her relationship with Steve Wright was purely professional and they had no rapport at all which is a shame as I really like them both.
Sad that she has left the weekly shows. |

I heard her banter with Tony out from the 2pm news. She seemed to go on a bit reading the traffic. Obviously not interaction with Dermot as he wasn't there |

Oh, it's going back some time (to when Johnnie was on DriveTime) but there were stories the two had a bit of a relationship. |

Well Johnnie is live this afternoon, his comment on opening the show after the travel report "Thank you Sally Boazman. I'll see you later".
Wonder how the banter will go..........
