Another fascinating but heart stopping, at times, watch from Sir David and his team in the first episode of this new series

I sat down to watch it and was very soon on the edge of my seat watching those Barnacle Geese chicks plunging down that cliff. Shocked
I thought that 3 of the five had survived only to be told at the end that a fox had got them. Sad

On a lighter note that little jerboa was very cute ...and funny. Very Happy

I read that Sir David couldn't watch his brother (Sir Richard) in 10 Rillington Place saying ”I couldn't bear to watch my dear brother imitating a sexual murderer”

He really does seem like a gentle soul.

Becky, it was a wonderful programme! I think that the 3 Barnacle Geese in the actual programme DID survive as shown but it was the first attempt at filming a family which ended in disaster for the young ones and that is what was shown in the 10 minutes at the end.

I must say I physically jumped when the baby mantis was suddenly gobbled up by the ghostly white adult mantis Shocked, but it was so funny when it managed to escape that spider by stretching out its legs and antennae to make itself look big Very Happy.

Oh right,Eileen.... I'm happy to be wrong...it was so sad to think none of them had survived.

It's a cruel world out there.Sad (The mantis looked like they're made out of tiny balloons)

Yes. Very Happy ... I don't mind spiders but I'm not sure if I want to see what they get up to in the home. I do however love seeing the webs they spin in my garden, they are things of great beauty. Smile
