I heard that too and I'm afraid my thoughts were 'typical' .........

This silly statement comes from the BBC Trust.....which is full of white, middle class, middle aged people. People in glass houses etc...
I think R2 does a pretty good job in trying to reach out to all communities. The BBC can't win. Either they are too politically correct or they are too white and middle class. |

That comment sounds to me like a recipe for the station losing a very large slice of its current audience share if the suggested changes were ever implemented
Personally I'm sick and tired of hearing about issues of culture and race which generally in my view create more divisions in society rather than narrowing them _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Is R2 too white?
Is Radio 1extra too black?
Doesn't that kinda even things out? We don't want too much duplication of music across R2, 6music, R1 and R1extra?
The review 'praised all the stations for being “distinctive” ' and then says R2 should include music that other stations provide.... go figure _________________ -

Me too Ruddles.
Read an interesting article from Trevor Phillips the other day and I think there is a programme (possibly presented by him?) this week.
My opinion is that non blacks/asians worry too much about offending blacks/asians and just make the situation worse. Again OMHO
