The choir of angels has a new member following the announcement today of the death of Jackie Trent. A much underated song writer and performer she is only known these days for Neighbours yet her collaborations with Tony Hatch produced much more. RIP.
An artist surely worth a programme by way of tribute on R2. |

I would completely agree - apparently she was in the process of making a documentary programme with Radio Stoke about her life in music - assuming it still goes ahead depending on how complete it may be then I hope it will now be aired nationally either across all BBC local stations or even better on Radio 2
Sad to see yet another iconic person from the world of music shuffle off this mortal coil - RIP Jackie
