Has anybody else been watching this new comedy with Peter Kay and Sian Gibson?
Must admit I had my doubts when I first heard what it was going to be about...two people going to and from work together,in a car. My doubts melted away very quickly...I loved it ...and hope very much that John and Kayleigh return to our screens in the not too distant future.
"BBC's Car Share is highest-rated sitcom to premiere on any channel since 2011."

It was filmed two years ago, and at Christmas 2014 the BBC comedy boss admitted he hadn't seen any footage - so the signs were not good, but I've really enjoyed it. Think it's a bit of a grower, and is good-hearted.
Always great to hear They Might Be Giants on TV too!
The main thing is, as a local, the route they've been driving has been doing my head in - they've gone all over the place! In episode 5 they were a few streets from my house and I definitely don't live between Bolton and Trafford! |

Whilst I haven't seen the series I'm not surprised at the comments already made here as Peter Kay is IMHO one of the very few comedy geniuses of the last 20 years - well that is I suppose apart from the truly unique Johnny Vegas - or plain old Michael Pennington as I used to know him when he used to live in Thatto Heath in St Helens _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Not being from that area the route question had gone right over my head but can see that it might jar with locals...hopefully not enough to spoil the enjoyment of this gem of a programme.
The dirty back window of the car has been causing a few waves on the BBC POV board.
There have been some decent records on "Forever FM" I love Birdhouse In Your Soul.
Here's the playlist..

One of my favourite performances by Johnny Vegas was in a Radio 4 drama called Norman.
Norman By Mike Scott
Johnny Vegas plays Norman, a man who has learnt how to live on the margins of society without bitterness, pride or a single direct debit. Norman tells his story of heroic dysfunction as he crosses the park one lunchtime.
It was a wonderful listen |

I like Johnny Vegas (even when I did a book signing with him until 3am!) but I think two of Britain's finest comic actors are Peter Kay and Reece Shearsmith so I was delighted both were in this.

No, adds to the fun really! There was an episode of Max And Paddy supposedly set in Norfolk that was clearly (to us locals) done literally outside Kay's then house.

Has it? I assume the reason is so you don't keep seeing different cars behind them if the scene has to be shot several times, or cut for time. |

His book, my theatre. Hosted a book signing and because he's a very generous and friendly man he insisted on taking his time with everyone getting their book. Which is great, except it was a 200+ full house! |

Always good to hear that someone you like on TV etc is a nice person in real life. |
