Gary Oldman is brilliant and mesmerising in his role of Churchill in this film. No wonder he won an Oscar for his performance in it.
The stirring 'We shall fight them on the beaches' speech he delivered in the House of Commons very near had me running down to the beach...powerful stuff.

I watched Dunkirk a couple of days later - another fine film. Very little dialogue ,it just shows,more or less, what went on.
