Did you tell Herr Slappmeister? I feel confident that he could start a thread going with that! _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

I don't remember that one. If it was two years ago, it may have been after I started on the late shift when he did it. I do remember 'Band On The Run' that you mention in another thread. I just about remember 'Brain Bogglers' but really need reminding how that one went. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

You don't remember it! ... ... One of my finest.; ..... right up there with the, what it would be like if the Romans were still in charge...... and the Ejection Seat thread that started after I gave John Nichols my autograph, and asked him, if he ever did Darth Vader impressions on his cockpit radio over the air.
The Brain Bogglers were in the first two hours at 3:15 and 4:15 ... just questions really .... but the trick was to send in the wrong answer... never the right one.......
Band on the run ... is still the best competition ever................. I wish we could have it back....... |

I do remember him doing the autograph thing! Have you got Ken Bruce on? He's just asked us to invent a 'superhero'? Has he never heard of 'The sock'?!! Who'se going to tell him, you or me? _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

I didn't have him on but I have now......
Oh yes The Sock.......... we had such fun with that on the SMT forum............ Hotpoint Harry....... and Candy ...
what a pair......
Nothing I've sent in to the KB show has ever made it to air ( except when Alex and Richard A were standing in...)... I think Alex told Ken that I thought he looked like Gerald Kaufman .... a long time ago....... so I've got no chance.. |

at Gerald Kauffman.
I think he must ration the mentions as the one I got last week must have been the first for at least 6 months! It was about Ken being the one to make the case for voting caravans off the road. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

So you didn't fancy venison for dinner today?
I should have said 'first Ken Bruce mention for some months'.
Rash over the airwaves Which is the better, Johnnie calling me an anorak or Rachel calling me a rash?! _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

Hi Rachel,
I may need a market stall soon to get rid of the excess sock puppets... however I will keep a pair to wear and a pair unopened in the plastic wrapper as a collectible- oh that's really sad innit? _________________ He's not the Messiah- he's a very naughty boy! |

Hi PJ..
No that's not sad at all..... you should see the stuff I have in "mint " condition........ I've not worn my Sock Puppets at all ... well: I did put one of them on my hand once, just to see how it all works .... I looked at him and said to the little fella , you like it in that plastic bag don't you? Holding back the tears, he looked back at me and said, if it means I get to spend the rest of my days, nestling in the bottom of your underwear drawer then, it's a deal. Sometimes; when I'm rummaging around in there, he pops up and do you know .. I could swear, he has a little smile on his face.
Oh LEE I was just teasing
I've heard that venison is an aphrodisiac... so maybe I should cut a leg off on my way home, and serve it up for his lordship. |

Rachel,
Never thought I'd envy a sock puppet..... tell him I'll stand in if he ever feels like a holiday _________________ He's not the Messiah- he's a very naughty boy! |
