Sad indeed I used to like her late night show that followed Richard Allinson's back in the day.
RIP

I was shocked and saddened at the news of Janice Long's death. I do remember her being on radio 1 and later on radio 2 on Saturday afternoons. Janice was one reason for my feeling envious of night shift workers, in the day when they would have started their shift with Richard Allinson, then Janice Long followed by Alex Lester. I did get to see Janice when she compered on the main stage at Guildfest in the mid 2000s when Radio 2 were involved.
A sad loss indeed. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack.

I used to enjoy her late night programme on R2. Also her Radio Wales evening programme. Both had the same enjoyable formula - good music, live guests.
Followed her on Twitter as well. For no other reason, that I saw some of her posts with Pete Wylie and liked them. And everybody liked Janice. She'll be sadly missed. _________________ life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans |

My son used to listen to Janice when he got back from working late nights.
She was always such a cheerful person to listen to.
There's been a lot of tributes to her from the whole of the Music industry including Chris Hawkins on 6Music this morning. |
