I was never Nick Barraclough's number one fan but I'll miss his programme and as if that was bad enough the powers that own 3c have had some corporate bullsh8t buzzword called a 'brand review' and decided to close the station down.. announced 26/03/07, effective 27/03/07 ! I have a freeview box bought specially and tuned permanently to 3c that's jacked into my hi-fi . Gutted doesn't even come close .. a very sad day for Country fans and no mistake. |

Aw no, sad to hear that 3C has shut down. I didn't listen as often as I'd liked (because I can't get it at work in Wigan) but enjoyed the occasional listen.
Funny to thing that Country seemed to be "the sound" about 6 or 7 years ago. |

3C went out quickly. The only annouced they were closing on Monday and they were gone by Tuesday afternoon. They struggled to get listeners. I think they had around 60,000 last Rajar but most other radio groups would have funded them for the prestige value of offering something other than the usual chart or 80's oldies pap. Unfortunately Emap seem to be up a creek without the proverbial paddle......... _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |
