Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are making a pilot for US network ABC. A spokesman said that the pair will not be moving to the US permanently and will fit the show around their UK commitments.
Wanna Bet? is a remake of a German ZDF network format, called Wetten, dass…?, which mixes celerity interviews and music performances with members of the public placing bets on whether they can pull off extraordinary stunts.

Such a shame. I had hoped they could do a Radio 2 show. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

I hope that all concerned know what they're doing. This has horrible overtones of Noel Edmonds' Late Late Breakfast Show which had to be axed and fast after someone rehearsing for a daredevil stunt on the programme was killed. I'd hate Ant and Dec to be involved in anything like that.

I think it was also done in the UK by Matthew Kelly. Sounds like it is a version of You Bet?
Used to enjoy that show on a Friday night. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

A pilot is a pilot - nothing more, nothing less. The majority of pilots never get commissioned, and Ant & Dec are on the same footing as complete newbies stateside.

Sorry to disagree but I find them to be good ambassadors for Tyneside.

I really do feel that they get too much abuse from the public. What have they ever done to deserve this abuse, other than be good at what they do? _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Ant & Dec have just been given £40m to stay with ITV for the next 3 years. I suppose this puts an end to my hopes that they might be used as holiday cover for Dermot O'Leary the next time he is away! _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |
