I am sat here listening to the last hour of Bob Harris's Saturday show, this is a quality show, with real quality music being played by a presenter that really connects to his listeners and has the decency to reply personally to apologise for not playing an email request. An Icon of British Radio, a gentleman who is respected universaly by his peers, did he get a mention in these irrelevant awards? I don't doubt CE has many fans and that he will continue to present Driveltime for the for see able future, but I just cannot see how he can be compared to the likes of Bob Harris, Johnnie Walker, Terry Wogan or John Peel, to me it's like comparing Ant & Dec to Morecombe & Wise or the Two Ronnies. But come on what depth of knowledge or passion for music does CE have and an interview tecnique that just beggars belief, surely to be the music personality of the year the music has to be the most important thing in the radio show; maybe I am missing the point and the music is just an irrevelance?

Well right back at you. I haven't complained about your mopey idol worship of Stuart Maconie, or your rather curt manner, but if you want to start throwing insults................. |
well, you see...I do not feel the need to refer to Mr Maconie in almost every post!
my curt manner? what are you on aboot, ye wee nutter
I have no wish to throw insults, some of us have matured from such playground antics! maybe your own curt reply says more about your inability to accept that other people have their own opinions - you are therefore fairly entitled to love Mr Evans as much as you like, I would just appreciate it (and I'm sure others on the board would too) if you had a little more of a grown up attitude about it and didn't have to pump the Evans propaganda all the time. |
So every post of mine is about Chris Evans is it? You really need to switch the light bulb on if you think that. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

YES MUSIC BEING THE OPERATIVE WORD! NOW I KNOW WHY YOU LISTEN TO CE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Surely if you are the MUSIC RADIO personality of the year you are a "personality" that presents MUSIC on a RADIO show, so depth of musical knowledge ought to be a prerequisite, yes?
