Is anyone else watching Springwatch? I love this program and all the animals they show. I thought the owls were particularly cute. |

I really like to see birds so most of the show is great television for me.
Tonight's programme featured simply superb video of a Kestrel hovering and weighing up it's breakfast, unbelievable stability. |

Didn't see much of tonight's show- late home from work
Did see Oddie make a plum of himself when they played the buzzard recording though
Don't know how Kate Humble works with him... he spends most of his time talking all over her- even when it's her link She's a real trouper
Santa, I see loads of Birds of Prey hunting in the very early hours- it's stunning! They have telescopic vision-in-vision, which enables them to pin-point their prey, but you probably already knew that
On the way to work, saw 2 fox cubs playing yesterday morning, whilst being watched by Mum- fantastic.
How are the Jay chicks getting on in their bucket? Is the runt alright?
That Hare footage yesterday was brilliant, as was that guys report on the urban foxes. _________________ He's not the Messiah- he's a very naughty boy! |

They seem to treat the animals as if they are humans [or at least actors in a soap opera]. After a while all this arent the animals so cuddly and will they or wont they die or get eaten by their siblings stuff starts to annoy me. You would never find David Attenburgh getting all sentimental. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

I don't think that's the case at all, they show the brutal side of nature as well as the good side.
We all know David Attenborough is in a league of his own so it's unfair to compare this program to any of his. |

A classic moment tonight, while watching river otters...
Kate: "He is scratching and leaving his mark, like sort of otter graffitti"
Bill: "That's a polite way of saying he shits on the floor"
lol! Kate's face was like Bill was like "what?" |

I would love to have seen the producer's face in the control room when he blurted out that little gem!
Bill Oddie- about as subtle as a brick in the face! _________________ He's not the Messiah- he's a very naughty boy! |

OK, I agree it was funny, but he's been working in TV long enough to know how unprofessional he was being.
It was all a bit "naughty schoolboy says bad word" from someone who should know better _________________ He's not the Messiah- he's a very naughty boy! |

I must agree that Bill talks over Kate, but I honestly believe he does through sheer enthusiasm for the subject rather than anything malicious |

Superb shots so far tonight of the Weasels but more so the Pine Martins playing in the snow!
I also had to laugh at the Kingfishers arguing about their positions on the branch. Great stuff. |

I agree with Gaz, I think Bill gets so carried away by his enthusiasim he can't help himself.
To be honest it makes a change in this day and age to see a presenter who cares so much about his chosen subject.
The Kingfishers are beautiful. |

So the fact he told her the segment about mussels was really boring wasn't in the least rude or unprofessional??? _________________ He's not the Messiah- he's a very naughty boy! |

Oh yeah it was boring... but one presenter shouldn't say that to another live on air
You wait 'til the cameras are off and say " That was rubbish- let's not do anything like that again" _________________ He's not the Messiah- he's a very naughty boy! |
