More changes this week but I suppose the B side/A side feature had had quite a good run for its money. But it would be worth bringing back after a gap. The ballad and movie song features sound distinctly promising.

Good to hear the lesser-known Helen Shapiro and Neil Sedaka singles. The Helen Shapiro one, which BM didn't recollect, crept up to no 47 in the charts in October 1963.

A really obscure Three in a Row this week. Amazing Grace clearly predated the more well-known accounts, by Judy Collins and the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards.

Was the closing Man in a Suitcase theme chosen to mark Tony Blair's departure from 10 Downing St?

Ian.

Man In A Suitcase could easily have been a plug for Chris Evans as he used this on the titles for TFI Friday.

Then again, I'm sure Planet Rock have been playing Ten Years After's 'I'm Going Home' in honour of Blair's departure!

Just my imagination perhaps, but there was more of the familiar in last Saturday's. Slightly surprised at the bit about a copy CD of one of the rarer tracks being sent to a listener. Is that not illegal?

I thought there was a little more of the familiar also. Still a bit weighted towards early sixties US stuff fo me but no mind. Good to hear the theme from "No Hiding Place" (even if BM did mess up the actor and character's name). Perhaps that was aimed at Gordon Brown! Laughing
