Just seen this on the Beeb's board http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/mbradio2/F4387184?thread=4414082
Didn't hear it myself - where's Cherskiy when you need him?
Not welcome news. Now keeping fingers crossed and hope he's better/makes a full recovery soon. _________________ Ron |

I heard that on 'Listen Again' and was immediately reminded of when Johnnie Walker was in that boat a few years ago, thankfully he did return to his show. Bob did say they caught it early enough to be treatable which has to be good news. He also said that Steve Lamacq will be doing his Saturday show in his absence. Hope Bob makes as quick a recovery as he can. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

It's rather old news: I thought everyone here knew. He's taking two months off to receive treatment and recuperate.
Haven't heard the weekend's show yet. _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

I didn't know, and like Cherskiy have not listened to the whole of Saturday's show yet. All I can say is that I know about cancer from bitter personal family experience, I wish Bob a successful treatment and a speedy recovery.

Iain you know nothing how ill or if Bob will not return. Please don't start with these posts on here until you get your facts right.
Thank you |

Well said Mark - don't forget Iain had Johnnie Walker dead and retired a few years ago.
Morbid attitude.

R2OK got a mention in an e-mail he sent to me on Sunday, so he knows we're around. I'm almost certain he looks in from time to time, so hopefully he'll have noted all of your kind words.
Good luck with the treatment, Bob.... _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”
