Is it me? Why have we continually been told since lunchtime that police are "preparing to arrest" two individuals in the Jesse James murder enquiry. Why don't they just get on with it instead of signalling up their intention all afternoon?
When they try to justify dawn raids quoting the need for "an element of surprise" what is the point of all the media courting in this case. It's to be hoped they've got them under surveillance, or they will look pretty stupid if the individuals have legged it by the time they get round to it. |

It probably means that they have already interviewed suspects but released then without charges initially. Now that they have additional evidence they can formally arrest the suspects.
However the story is probably being leaked by the police who are notorious for this. The press were better informed than Sir Ian Blair on the day the Brazilian was shot on the tube. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

In an interview on Sky News at lunchtime, the guy handling the case confirmed that the two were connected with the enquiry. There was no question of leaking - the police spokesman just kept on saying quite openly that the arrest of the two was imminent. |

Should have guessed - looks like they already had them in custody for other offences! |
