Just heard on the 11am News that no senior managers are to be prosecuted over this deadly outbreak at Kent hospitals, despite not having learned lessons from a previous outbreak. It's said that the HSE doesn't have enough evidence to proceed.
It sounds as though they've got off on a technicality.
Doesn't anyone at the top take responsibility for anything any more?

Bit of a rhetorical question, that, Ian, and even if they do they usually get a handsome payoff in leaving.
Actually, I think this is the Stoke Mandeville Hospital case, rather than the Kent one - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/7096099.stm - the investigation into the failings at Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells, where the top management resigned and had any payment suspended, continues. _________________ Ron |

Sorry, yes, I think you're right. Apologies to Kent, at least for now, black marks to Stoke Mandeville.
