Every day Richard starts his daily BFBS Radio 2 show by thanking the previous presenters for their show and then thanks us the listeners for "choosing this channel".
I think this is really good manners. Can't recall many other presenters doing the same but no doubt you will tell me differently. |

Haven't we had this discussion? We all told you Chris Evans does it every night! |

You can fault the boy for his manners.
His mum would be proud of him. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Mark,
Jeremy Vine regularly says thanks for listening wherever you are.

Terry always says thanks to Sarah and whoever is covering. Ken doesn't as for the 9.30am change over.
It's nothing new in Radio. Or is there a trend Richard is trying to do? |

That's not true. Ken always thanks Terry, every day. All the DJs thank the previous presenter, usually after the first record. I assume it's Radio 2 policy. |

Ian-I don't think I have ever heard Steve Wright thank Jeremy Vine for his show.
Indeed Jonathan Ross never thanks Brian Matthews for SOT's-so to say it is a blanket policy on Radio2 is not correct. |

Actually Steve does thank Jeremy, almost everyday.

It's not every show, but nearly always when a live show follows another live show so Sarah, Terry, Ken, Jeremy, Chris all thank each other and I assume Alex thanks Janice too. Stuart, Dermot and Gambo thank each other on Saturdays.
And most of these (plus Johnnie) thank stand-ins when they've been on holiday. |
