What did people think of this?
On the whole I thought they gave it a pretty good shot. I'm in favour of new ways being found of bringing the Gospel to today's public and it must have been a challenging thing to do live.
Only one point--I entirely agree with all the positive things that they said about Liverpool but was this a bit overdone?
But generally well worthwhile.

Shall have to wait for a repeat, but the clip I did see, to the chorus "Nothing's gonna change our world" from Across The Universe, left me a bit puzzled as to its relevance.
Same company apparently set the Passion in Manchester last year... _________________ Ron |

I, too, will have to catch the repeat because I forgot last night. I enjoyed The Passion from Manchester, but I got the feeling it was more fun to be there than watching on telly.
Still, it's good to see stuff like this on tv now and then (even if it's full of Professional Scousers). |

Hi IanR. No, there were no professional scousers in the cast, they all live 'darn sarf,' Tarby, Cilla and the like. Drew Schofield,(my favourite actor,) Geoffrey Hughes, Paul Barber, Cathy Tyson and a lot of new faces to TV made up(sic) the cast. Some fantastic views of St George's Hall inside and out were shown. Reaction here in Liverpool has been almost uniformly positive.
If you want to check out the cenotaph outside St George's Hall here is a link, with a poem written by myself about it.
