Our dearly beloved ex-PM is apparently going to work part-time for a major bank (I can't remember which one) in an advisory capacity, for which he will receive the sum of £500k per year.
Has anyone heard about this? In particular, I'd love to know on which topic he'll be advising them.
Ian. |

JP Morgan.
Quote: | He said he looked forward to advising the bank on the "political and economic changes that globalisation brings".
It is not known how much JP Morgan will pay him, but some estimates say more than $1m (£500,000) a year. The bank said he had a "unique perspective".
It said Mr Blair would advise the firm's chief executive and senior management team, "drawing on his immense international experience to provide the firm with strategic advice and insight on global political issues and emerging trends". |

No surprise. Not the first, nor the last.
It's not necessarily What he knows, it's Who he knows that's of value. _________________ Ron |

Perhaps Tony Blair will have this thought upon his desk, next to the photos of his family:
The love of money is the root of all evil. |
