Interesting story in one of tonight's newspapers regarding Fearne Cotton.
It seems Fearne has missed almost half of her shows since being hired to present 2 of Radio 1's flagship broadcasts BBC admitted today.
Fearne fronts the Request Show and the Chart Show with co-host Reggie Yates.
BBC bosses have confirmed she presented just 23 of a possible 41 shows since being given the job in October last year.
Angry fans flooded one web-site saying "Where the hell is Fearne Cotton?
I think this story is best summed up by an amusing quote in the story which reads "You hear her all the time on the trails, but she doesn't actually do any shows"-brilliant.
What next I wonder for Fearne re her BBC career. |

Billy Edd Wheeler fans will no doubt remember his song 'Ferne Cotton and a Country Tune', so perhaps she could do some shows with Mark Lamarr. |

That's still 23 shows too many!
I wish she would xxxx off to America and stay there. And perhaps she could take Davina McCall with her |

If I were to be unkind I would draw your attention to her surname, although she is a fairly distant relation to the two Bills. Any suggestion of nepotism in her ability to get employment with the BBC would also be unkind
I do have a soft spot for her, even though I've never heard her on radio, and also even though for TV she often appears to have the dress sense of the Vicar of Dibley's Alice Tinker. Must be my paternal instincts belatedly kicking in
I notice she's not joining Terry for the Eurovision thing on Saturday - it's Claudia Winkleman instead - which is a bit unfair since last year's debacle wasn't her fault. _________________ Ron |

Heh. It does amaze me how such a skinny girl keeps managing to choose clothes that make her look pregnant.
I do quite like her too. She's very good at live tv presenting, and that sort of talent puts her much in-demand - hence all the work for ITV and US TV, and probably why she doesn't do much Radio 1 work. |

S'alright, Ron - I rarely watch TV (maybe 1/2 hour per week now) and don't read red-tops so have no idea who anyone is anymore! _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

Me neither (red-tops, that is). It's just my age - seeing the name Cotton made me look it up some time ago. Can just imagine her morphing into old Bill (either of them!) _________________ Ron |

I've got a soft spot for Fearne Cotton too - the back garden of our house!
If she can't be bothered to host the shows she's allotted, bring in someone who can! _________________ We made a land where crap is king and the good don't last for long.

I think papers may jump to conclusions. Ferne presents a lot of TV shows which sometimes clash with her Radio 1 schedules. I suppose she has a contract to miss shows on R1, as she partners them and doesn't present them solo. |

If she knew she wasn't going to be able to present so many of the shows she shouldn't have signed the bloody contract. There are plenty of DECENT presenters that could have done it! |
