So Richard Allinson will be doing the 7am until 1pm slot, will he? _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

I reckon Hammond is on this flexible working hours, so flexible he's never there.
Glad to see the Dark Lord venturing into brighter pastures for one day, interesting to see how it turns out. Thank-you for the schedule Iain. _________________

Hopefully he will make an apperance, or it will be either Alice or Aled?
Does this mean Ken is off all week? Nice too see Alex back on daytimes. Hopefully someone has listened and have Alex covering a little more in the future. Pete is covering Alex for a month soon.. |

Looks OK. I wonder if Lee Mack will be on his own - and who will be profiled in "The Record Producers"? |

Allinson rocks.
Lets hope Mr Bruce is away the rest of that week. Hopefully Richard will be providing the cover for him. |

Always there then Nod posting positive posts about Richard Allinsion-not.
Clearly you don't like him as you post so many negative messages about him.
I think we all get it that you don't like him.
Do us all a favour-tune into a different station then when he is presenting. Thanks. |

He's entitled to his opinion, as are you. If anyone goes OTT about Allinson it's you, constantly raving about how the sun shines out of his backside.
For me, Allinson is a blight on Radio 2 and I'm extremely pleased that he doesn't crop up as often as he used to. Long may this continue, hopefully Lesley Douglas will see sense in the near future and dump this sad, smug, patronising presenter for good.
But hey, just my opinion eh? And it's just as valid as yours. |

Well, that's a shame, cos Richard's sitting in for Ken Bruce for the whole of the Bank Holiday week and I'm glad.
I'm entitled to my opinion as well!

Allinson rocks? What precisely does he rock - the boat of being a decent radio presenter perhaps? |

I think someone is missing the point Allinson is covering 10-1pm slot. Not 6 hours. I guess they will get someone else to cover Hammond if he doesn't show up? |

Alex on in the afternoon..... woohoo!! cool beans! Last time this happened on a Bank Holiday Monday there was a live gig at Maumbry Rings ( Music at Maumbry) very close to my home. It was really sunny so we were out in the garden listening to Alex but being blasted out by the live stuff -"Howling at the moon" I don't think it's on this year - so we should get unfettered access to Alex. As it should be ... Me bronzing on a Steamer with Ice cold Milk and shortbread biscuits and Alex on the Solar Radio.
I'd be in favour of giving everyone at R2 the day off on Bank Holiday Monday( and other public holidays). A few pre-recorded shows maybe but it would be better to just shut the network down for 24 hours. We seem obsessed with availability these days. Someone has to start the stop- it can't go on. Everything (possible) should shut down. It would make it a fantastic Bank Holiday. No driving, no busses no taxis, no shops open - a real proper holiday from everyday life for everybody, all at the same time. A walk to a beach or a local park or beauty spot, a few sandwiches a bottle of squash and a frisbee. Maybe a street party! You never know , you may just talk to a neighbour. |

Alex Lester has a fair few miles to travel, (lives near me), unless he has another residence, so a fair train journey on a Bank Holiday.
Now this is Real Head Over the Parapet line.........always thought he is the next sucessor to STW.
On the few times I've heard him, cracked me up laughing. |

Richard Allinson is by far better. I hope Hammond does not succeed Wogan next year. |

I'm not going to believe any bank holiday specials anymore. One thing Hammond did turn up. Pete Mitchell sounded like Tim Smith and half hour of Janice Long, and Lee Mack was The Ultimate Abba Chart presented by Tim Rice |
