For those that occasionally browse over there (like me) or even post (not me anymore), has Sizz's site http://www.enoughalready.org.uk gone kerplunk?
I've been getting an Error 404 Not Found message all day, which suggests that either the whole domain has gone to the big host in the sky or the server has fallen over and died. _________________ ONline, ONdigital and ONtherocks: BBC Radio 2. Yes, for me too. Hope all's well there but I think it can only be a glitch.
I haven't posted for ages but that's simply because my old dial up pc doesn't like it - it takes forever to load.. _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

It's going to be a pretty big glitch though. I know that dowellddddd hosts it so I can only assume that the machine has just died. Normally, if there's a problem with the database that holds all the posts and other stuff you'll get a "cannot connect to database server" message.
Not that it bothers me as I haven't posted there for many weeks since that idiot Hasty started posting. _________________ ONline, ONdigital and ONtherocks: BBC Radio 2. Eleanor Rigby, wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door. |

I know who you mean.
I stayed away from the heavy stuff and stuck to the three word stories and word association threads!
I hope it survives though.
I was browsing recently and spotted a thread where they'd offered to have a link to this board as well as EE but couldn't get hold of John.
Maybe a link would be a good thing. _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Cross-linking between sites helps to improve each site's "visibility" for search engines like Google, and so on. It pushes them up in the rankings and makes it more likely to get new visitors. So - yes - it's a good idea. _________________ ONline, ONdigital and ONtherocks: BBC Radio 2. Eleanor Rigby, wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door. |

Hi,
I remember getting an e-mail. I'll check it out again and sort the links.

I'd wait to see if Sizz's site is up and running anytime soon - otherwise you'll be linking to an Error 404 page! _________________ ONline, ONdigital and ONtherocks: BBC Radio 2. Eleanor Rigby, wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door. |

Has Dowellddddddd pulled it for some reason? Not another falling-out, surely?
It's all quite amusing really. Still, I was getting fed up with reading about who had what for breakfast. _________________ ONline, ONdigital and ONtherocks: BBC Radio 2. Eleanor Rigby, wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door. |

I thought DD hosted it himself. Obviously not. Must be a pretty crap web host who cocks up like that and does nothing about it. If any of my sites went down for whatever reason my hosting company (1&1 Internet) would have it sorted immediately. _________________ ONline, ONdigital and ONtherocks: BBC Radio 2. Just use the words "Never mind, it's just a forum. Nothing will change". That really gets 'em!!! _________________ ONline, ONdigital and ONtherocks: BBC Radio 2. Eleanor Rigby, wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door. |
