|
|
In April last year I managed to shatter the glass in a mirror on Friday the thirteenth. You couldn't do that if you tried!
Though I'm not usually superstitious, I couldn't help wondering what the combined effect would be on my luck.
In the event, my luck has been much the same since as it was before.
Today I'm keeping my head down and getting quietly on with some work.
Is anyone worried re the juxtaposition of day and date today?
Ian. |

I'm not superstitious at all - in fact I might even put a ladder up and walk under it just for a laugh.
Nothing will become of it. Touch wood. _________________ ONline, ONdigital and ONtherocks: BBC Radio 2. Eleanor Rigby, wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door. |

Pass...... Are you refering to one of Henry 8th's wives?
I was taught t's supposed to be a reference to Harold gatting one in the eye in 1066 |

I'd normally laugh at all this superstitious lark, but about a month ago, I found an old horse shoe in amongst some rubbish we're clearing out so I placed it on a window cill but I just had to make sure I had it the right way up!
I must admit things have been going pretty good over the last few weeks
I've smashed loads of unwanted mirrors in the skip though but I wouldn't walk under a ladder.... _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

I seem to have got through yesterday without too many mishaps.
No more F13 this year but three lots in 2009!

You got out in one piece, I assume? In which case it was OK. _________________ ONline, ONdigital and ONtherocks: BBC Radio 2. Eleanor Rigby, wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door. |

Thanks for your concern.
A check up and a spit and polish cost me £42.00.
Going to a NHS dentist is not cheap these days. |

He probably would have asked to turn the Radio up. |
