I'll have one each from 60s, 70s and 80s, please.
60s: Beatles: In My Life
70s: Matthews Southern Comfort: Woodstock
80s: Sting: Spread a Little Happiness
You might get a completely different list if you ask me tomorrow.
If you want some naff ones to irritate SW, how about some of the Children's Favourites that have recently been played on SOTS, notably Max Bygraves' When You Come to the End of a Lollipop and Tommy Steele's Little White Bull?

Good idea.
Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter
Pink Floyd - Arnold Layne
I'm guessing one of them is more likely to be played than the other... |

How about:-
City Of New Orleans - Arlo Guthrie
As - Stevie Wonder
Think it was Nina and Frederick who did Little Donkey, so as a wind up how about from Pearl Carr and Teddy Johnson- Sing Little Birdie?

Helen,
I stand corrected, always thought it was PC & TJ.
Another thought, how about Marene Deitrich, "Falling in Love Again"

Oh that looks tamtamount to a prize... does the compliance dept know about this?......We can't have one rule for the Big Show and another for the others. The media would say, this is dithering.... |

Mark,
I think you'll need to send a few more than we've suggested so far. It may say something on the website but I think you have to send about 15 or more?
The Coffee Bar on R2 boards (Phillip Phlopp sent them in if I remember) had a selection played years ago now. I didn't hear the name call but heard a couple of the songs in the car not realising they were our choices. Someone heard my name so they knew they were ours but most of the choices were changed.

What is the use of asking for choices to be nominated if they then change most of them?

The chances of him playing Marvin Gaye and Sexual Healing are pretty good - given that he plays it every single Sunday!!!! _________________ Who Can Take A Sunrise, Sprinkle It With Dew... |

It's presumably because Steve and Lesley don't want any unknown songs creeping through that might scare the listeners. |
