I text the Jeremy Vine show regarding the removal of Sir Ian Blair. The team phoned me back spoke to me and put me to air.

S**t I lost my words and couldn't get them out. I kept hearing myself on the phone so that put me off. I feel really embarrassed. Never mind......

Did anyone hear me? Sad Yes have a laugh... Shocked

I heard you Mark, don't worry. It's not easy, especially if you've been holding on the line for ages before they come to you. That's the worst part I think.

I was listening to the other Mark before me. Then I and lost my train of thought when JV came on. I know Jeremy had a little giggle in his voice, but I'm sure he understood?

Mark

It's easier if you are the first one to speak when there are 2 or more. Sometimes the discussion veres off what you rang in to say.

I didn't notice a giggle in Jeremy's voice, so don't worry.

Yeah, I've noticed if you're last in the queue Jeremy will say "do you agree with that?" and I suppose you've got to be really on the ball to twist what you rang in about to what you've just been asked. Which I'm sure can be difficult.

Hi Mark,

I've never had that problem when I've phoned in. Were you on a mobile or a land line? I always use a land line.

Also they keep asking if you've turned the radio off or down as it can be heard as there must be a very tiny delay, (not as much as the analogue to digital if you've a mixture of them in your houae and all on).

That happened to me the last time I was on. I sent in a short comment and it was read out and I thought that's was that.

About 5 minutes later the phone rang (they must have my number as I'd not put it on the email) and asked if I would speak, I said okay. They first guy went on and on and I actually agreed with some of what he said but I disagreed with the main point. I found it quite difficult that time, as I'd not really wanted to go on air and I suspect they must have been short of callers that day!

I was called back on me mobile after I Text my comment. I wasn't able to call from a land line. It was just spontaneous Text, as I was at work.
