It's to be discussed on today's show at noon... should be interesting. I wonder if they'll get a comment from the so far elsuive Ross? |

I doubt it, although the producer was once part of his backroom team.

As it's the first topic on the JV show, any thoughts on an appropriate or not song to introduce the topic?
'Go Now' is the obvious one, but will listen closely to the lyrics of what is played today.

Is there a song called "sling your hook and don't come back"? _________________ MiS |

Well JV is playing 'Listen to the Music' which is ironic considering Russell hardly seems to find time to play music on his show that is broadcast on a music station... |

I think the BBC is seriously out of touch with what the majority of licence payers want and expect... _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Lyrics of Tom Jones' song 'It would be a crime to ever let you go' I sure hope that isn't the outcome......

Is anyone else annoyed how people use Andrew Sachs' age as another reason to justify their anger directed at these abusive phonecalls. Abusive phonecalls are abusive no matter what the age of the recipient is. I find all these comments made about Andrew Sachs' age to be quite disrepectful - as if he somehow finds it more difficult because of his age.
The phonecalls were abusive and wrong regardless. |

Callers are making the point that there were only 2 complaints on the night of show and that the 18,000 complaints to the BBC are from "sheep" jumping on the Bandwagon.
I don't agree, this is a chance for the licence payer to voice their opinion on the type of presenter, the crazy salaries and the general decline in standards creeping into Radio 2 lately..
Hope Ms Douglas is taking notes... _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

I thought of that when I was typing - Maybe it could be recorded as "Hit the road Brand, don't you come back no more no more..." _________________ MiS |

Despite what I think of Lesley Douglas and what she has done to Radio 2, there was no way that she should have been on the JV show today.
After the findings of the inquiry? Well that's another matter, but I somehow doubt she will be rushing to the studio.

I think they were talking more about Ross as he does a lot more for the BBC? He provides shows from his production company, and has more to lose? Where Brand does the odd bit for the BBC. |

Hmmm. I know she's never exactly keen to put herself out there but she's been conspicuous by her absence this week. |

Lesley Douglas is supposed to be moving to another post in the BBC soon? Probably will be sooner than later? |

We used to have a lot of fun on the old R2 JV board suggesting the 'song of the day' that would either begin the show or feature during one of the topics.
JV joined in and would refer to it on air and we got it right on several occasions!

The only problem with that is that DJ's play music. Brand Rarely did.
