According to the Mail on Sunday (OK, I know it's not the most reliable "newspaper"and it priints a load of garbage and don't get me started on it's "crusades") STW is to present a show on Saturday mornings and possibly Sundays while Ken Bruce takes over STW's weekday show and Simon Mayo takes over Ken's programme. |

That will be R2 switched OFF from 09:30 until 17:00 most days then
At least we get KB taking over from STW |

Are we to face such obscure speculation from the Mail every weekend from now on then? |

I've always thought Ken Bruce would be the logical choice for the breakfast show and wouldn't mind hearing Terry at the weekend but where would the Saturday morning show be? before SOTS?
Simon Mayo's ok... but a little mono toned for my taste maybe... Now Mark Radcliffe would be great! _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

The suggestion was that Terry would replace Jonathan Ross on Saturdays. |

STW denied it was imminent in the Mail today. He said he would scale down his workload after he turns 70 but nothing was going to happen immediately. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

I take any written by the Daily Mail/Mail on SWunday with a large pinch of salt.
Personally I still think Chris Evans will takerover from Terry Wogan when Terry eventually decides to retire. |

Don't forget, they've tried putting Ken on in place of Terry once before, (when STW left to go to TV) and it didn't really work.
When STW does leave breakfast, I'd have thought they are going to have to go for something completely different. Otherwise you simply invite comparison with what has gone before, and with a figure as significant as STW, that comparison is never going to be good for the new tenant. |

I think Bruce & Wogan basically do the same show anyway. Having them back to back is too much for me. I tried to listen to them both last week, but after 2 hours of Wogan I've had enough of wimsy and amusing puns & stories. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Ken Bruce did the breakfast show back in the 80's when Terry finished his first stint on it.
I think he only lasted a couple of years at the most if I remember correctly.

I can't see Terry wanting that slot anyway. |

A weekend breakfast show? Ken Bruce getting the chop? If next week's Mail carries a story about Mo Dutta replacing Brian Matthew I think we'll know who their source is! |

Next week's headlines
"Chris Evans elected prime minister, Richard Allinson new chancellor"
"Jonathon Ross is Wogan's secret love child"
"Russell Brand is huge fan of Vivaldi"
All about as believable as the story about STW taking JR's place. |

The other Week Bruce was off and replaced with Mayo. Now Anti BBC Mail readers will believe another made up fantasy schedule from one of their reporters who's come back from the pub after a few lunch-time gins and decided let run this story. I'm sure a few sit around and make these stories up at Mail HQ? For god sake what's next?
Someone needs to put a stop to the Mail writing all this garbage? |
