Sad news about Angela Morley / Wally Stott.
(same person, for members unaware)
I first knew about him/her as Wally Stott, alto sax player with Oscar Rabin's band.
As Angela Morley, she was an important composer and arranger of light music, providing much light music post WWII including writing TV themes and arranging orchestra for some important 'pop' hits.
Often featured on Brian's Kay's Light Music programme on R3, including a special programme, and was interviewed on Brian's TV special on light music.
Her Wiki is updated.

His/her name would crop up frequently on the old Light and early days of Radio 2 when light and easy orchestral music was still played.

Sorry to hear this. He/she must have been a pretty tortured soul at times but I enjoyed the Brian Kay interview a few years ago.
