As I can't stand Deadly (the singing, the big part he plays in JW's show etc) I go elsewhere when His Woganship is grouting and tiling.
This week, partly to hear the travel news, I've been listening to my local ILR. The word "dire" doesn't really do it justice! Apart from the sheer banality of the breakfast show, the ads are appalling and repetitive, and to cap it all they're currently having a phone-in asking people to say what they do when they are on the toilet!
I do wish Terry would take less holidays...... _________________ MiS |

I'm content to let Terry rumble on until he feels he's had enough, but I can only take so much of him, and Chuffer Blooming Dandridge, these days. Johnnie Walker, even with the overbearing Dedicoat, is a welcome respite. _________________ Ron |

I find TW's unending wittering and waffling, not to mention his exhaustive use of material that has been emailed or texted in from a small handful of dedicated "togs" using the same silly aliases so utterly repetitive and boring that JW's temporary stewardship of the slot is most welcome when it occurs. I just wish he had the slot permanently. |

JW is fine, it's the ubiquitous Dedicoat that's a turn off. _________________ MiS |

Wogan is a crashing bore, JW would be a welcome relief but for Deadicoat butting in every three seconds with his unfunny comments.
I am permanently tuned to classic FM in the mornings now, I must admit I enjoy it, at least it dosen't put me in a bad mood. |

Surprised at the anti-Wogans on here! Have to say I generally like his show, at least we get the occasional musical treat! Not many other opportunities to hear my favourite song (Stardust, NKC). _________________ MiS |

Nothing against the man as a person, I have crossed paths with him and he is a lovely bloke.
His radio show though is repetitive, dull, boring and just not funny anymore. Paul Walters is much missed, as nice as Borrowlands seems he is certainly not a patch on dear old Dr Wally
As far is I'm concerned Wogan can take a permanent holiday. |

Wogan is like that comfy old chair you put out in the green-house- you didn't want to throw it out cos it's still really comfy and you love it, and have loved it to bits over the many years service it has seen, but you can only take so many DFS adverts before you give in and have a new one.
Still nice to sit in on a sunny afternoon now and again but that new one has so many fab features - little things that come out to rest your feet on and swivel bits and all sorts of gagets and up to the minute gizmos.....it has to be done. |

Only occasionally though. Most of the stuff that gets played is from the "same old, same old" Wogan playlist. JW is much more passionate about his music and it shows. |

Yes, Dr Pauly is greatly missed.
The comfy old chair is 70 years old, and it's been in the same position for fifteen. The shiny new gadget is only seven years younger but the knobs are much brighter _________________ Ron |

I do love STW, but the music (along with Ken Bruce) is dire. I am enjoying JW.
However, what a landmark STW is, my brother, who emigrated in 1973, always uses his programme to get the travel news when he returns to the UK! |

Do we still hear from Mandy Lifeboats? I liked that one... _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

I understand Mandy Lifeboats passed away a couple of years ago but yes, very clever user name.
I thought Wendy red red robin was quite clever too and I remember once hearing a Dan Glebitz, only once though |
