Because he would rather go on about his child than spend time with it. |

So does the BBC and his show staff are wondering why. There is another reason why too. It's half term and no one is around to cover. |

Of course he should take paternity leave. 18 years should do it...... _________________ MiS |

Why should he?
I'm sure he would if it were absolutely necessary.
I expect his wife is glad he isn't - mine was. (In my limited and dark-ages experience there was more than enough willing and able female help close at hand during the first few weeks and, let's face it fellas, how much help are we during the day, when it's all sleep, slurp, scream and sh*t anyway?) _________________ Ron |

In my days of new paternity, we had no entitlement to leave and had to take holiday, which I duly did on each occasion. I'd have killed for paternity leave then and am surprised if Chris Evans isn't taking any. Surely someone from the usual relief staff or even a broadcaster from local radio could give a week's cover.

I wish he would take some paternity leave, even though I don't agree with it.... he's driving me nuts going on about his sprog! _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Sorry Mark but the words "interesting" and "Chris Evans" cannot inhabit the same sentence, podcast or not. On the other hand, the words "intensely annoying" and "Chris Evans" work well together, imo. |

The only time I hear Evans is on the ubiquitous trailers for his show. Good grief, why would anyone listen to that? The trailers are enough to put you off completely, and as for downloading a podcast... well _________________ MiS |

I've been known to actually switch off, or change channels on, the radio when a stupid noisy and childish trail by Chris Evans comes on. The guy does my head in completely. Why does he have such an annoying voice? |

It's to complement his annoying personality. _________________ Minx

I went though a phase when I didn't mind Chris, now I find him intensly annoying and have to turn off the minute I hear his voice, even the traliers. Same with Wogan, he does my head in with his blathering on. |

I can just about tolerate Wogan, but if I happen to listen to his show for a few days on the run it's clear that he's sticking to a tired old formula that relies on the same old jokes and anecdotes supplied from the same few email/text sources and accompanied by the same old musical choices.
As for the bloke at Drivetime - aaaaaaaaarrrrrrgggghhhhhhhh! |

Why would anyone want to take Paternity Leave when they effectively only work a few hours a day - its not exactly hard work either is it? _________________ Chris Evans' Breakfast - doesn't sound quite as good as Chris Evans' Drivetime but good nonetheless! |

Here's hoping him and his missus have many more kids - one every nine months perhaps? |

At least it gives us some hope of keeping him off the radio. |
