Don't know if this has been mentioned already but Lynn Parsons is returning to Radio 2 sitting in for Emma Forbes on Sunday 16th August.
Was one of my fav's when she was on and it will be nice to hear her on the station again!
Few interesting changes due to holiday that weekend
Saturday
3am Tim Smith (In for Richard Allinson)
6pm Patrick Kielty and Gaby Roslin (In for Alan Carr & Emma Forbes)
Sunday
2am Tim Smith (In for Richard Allinson)
5am Lynn Parsons (In for Emma Forbes)
5pm Bill Kenwright (In for Paul O'Grady) _________________ Daz M |

That's interesting Lynn Parson on Radio 2. I know she's on Smooth Radio London both Saturday and Sunday from 10am. I wonder when we would see or hear Gaby Roslin again? I saw her on Daily Cooks Challenge during the week. I remember she was the main face alongside Wogan on CIN until fern cotton took her place. |

Emma did confirm Lynn is sitting in for the next two weeks 16th and 23rd August. Lynn is also in for Zoe Ball on 22nd August. |

The website confirms it as well - http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00m3zjl
I think its excellent news that Lynn is returning to Radio 2 for a couple of programmes this month.
The last time I remember listening to her was 2005 when she sat in for Sarah Kennedy and the show seemed to work well; it wasn't simply text after text or e-mail after e-mail which some shows seem to focus on a bit too much. _________________ Fred Hart

Yes, I've always liked Lynn Parsons, too. Like the similarly-underused Richard Allinson, she has a very good musical knowledge and this comes across in her presentation style.
She's always done a good job when deputising for Sarah K. (a much better job than the incumbent, actually) and I'd like to see her doing much more on R2 at times when I'm likely to be listening rather than in graveyard slots. _________________ (signature and avatar removed, violated forum Rule 2.) |

Likewise excellent news Lyn is back on Radio 2.
Like others I do think she knows her music and she seems a very natural presenter to me.
Look forward to her shows. |

I too am looking forward to Lynn Parsons' return to Radio 2. To my mind she should never have been 'dumped' like she was. Now how about getting Sybil Ruscoe back? Another one who shouldn't have been unceremoneously booted out! _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

I'm glad Lynne is returning too, I used to enjoy her shows.
Please please don't tell me Patrick Kielty is joining?????????????
I generally like most people but he is completely unfunny and annoying |

Just caught up with Lynn sitting in for Emma. Fantastic too have a wonderful voice back on Two. Now all we need is Mark Goodier also back from Smooth Radio. |

It was nice to hear Lynn Parsons this morning, pity she can't be on more often. _________________ Pirate Johnnie Walker played my request on 11 April 2009 |

Heard only the last 30 minutes or so today but sounded very promising.

She still got a weekend show at Smooth Radio. Although Tarrant lost his Saturday show and Lynn took it on as well as her Sunday show. I don't know whether the Saturday appointment is temporary? It would be nice to have her back full time. Like I said Mark Goodier would be a welcome return, but looks like Bob Shenans plans are more female presenters. |

Certainly nothing against female presenters, hence my wish for the return of Sybil Ruscoe. But yes, I would welcome the return of Mark Goodier too. I think he should have had his own show. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

Seems like Lynn is freelancing for two again. I thought the Emma Forbes and Zoe Ball slots were just one offs!! She was in for Sarah K on Monday. I know she's still on Smooth London at the weekends. |

Zoe Ball will be on Maternity leave soon, so maybe Lynn will be sitting in? |
