In a little exchange with Mark Mayhew elsewhere I mentioned that I always thought (in my head) that I sounded a bit like Richard Allinson when talking, (although when I hear myself on tape I'm nothing like).
So I just wondered if anybody else suffered similar delusions, and who do you think you sound like, both to yourself and when you hear yourself back through technology? _________________ Ron |

I hope that I sound like Sally Traffic but when I've heard myself on tape, I sound like an iffy electronic lift voice or that AOL voice.... you have e-mail. |

I don't think I sound like anybody in particular, either to myself or on tape.. but I do know I hate hearing a Norfolk accent!..... luckily I don't have too much of it, according to others.
If I could sound like somebody it would be Clifton Webb. _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

If I could sound like someone it would be the actor James Mason. What a wonderful voice, especially in 'North by North West', as the villain. |

Not sure who I sound like, but would love to sound like Sally.
When I did the 88-91 FM business live into the 1 o'clock news followed by Fenella Fudge, I was told I sounded a bit like her. Not so sure myself!
Don't think you can uplift sound clips on here or I'd let you judge for yourselves! Colby would know how to I'm sure.

I always thought that Ken Bruce sounded like me, but since I've been doing my internet 'radio shows' I'm not so sure ....

I laughed at something in the paper the other day and Mrs W said it sounded like one of Roger Royle's guffaws. Not sure how to take that!
A work colleague once told me I sounded a bit like James Naughtie.
