I saw the news on tv that Simon Cowell has given a sick child some money to enable treatment in the US. Very laudable, but why did he have to have his PR person shown on the phone to the child's mother announcing the donation? Is he trying to change his public image? Cynical, moi?

Why, only a week ago he was on the front page of the tabloids claiming to be giving £2m to the British Legion. Glad he's doing nice stuff, but in my eyes won't make up for all the rubbish he churns out. Such a loathsome person (who needs to keep Piers Morgan close to make him look good).
