Excellent news! I'm just listening to Allinson's Albums on Radio York and its turning into a very good day. Johnnie Walker next, (I'm recording the first hour) and then Richard Allinson at 5pm. This is my first Sunday off for ages too, I could get used to this! _________________ Pirate Johnnie Walker played my request on 11 April 2009 |

He could teach them to talk like he does |

Well he's done a double shift today Rachel! I must admit I was tempted to email him to say the same about the 'daylight'!
Nice to hear Dame Vera Lynn as well, probably the only time anything from her No 1 album has been played on Radio 2.
Great 'Motown 3' from the Supremes too, along with some US radio ads for Coca Cola.
Fabulous ending with Carly Simon's Moonlight Serenade.

It was a good listen. Richard has done a couple of Sunday covers for people you wouldn't expect him to cover for. I think he covered for Ed Stewart once or twice?
At least Radio 2 didn't need this time a celebrity to cover a celebrity, or none celebrity. |

Sarah was upset Richard said "the Sprouts need to be put in water for Xmas in August". I think Sarah suggests they are earlier than that. She said she would email or pidgeon hole Richard about this.
Apparently Ms Kennedy nearly wrote her car off on the M40 when Richard said that.
