In studying the Radio 2 schedules for the above period really pleased to see so many good programmes being aired.
Outside of regular doses of Richard Allinson looking forward particularly to the following
Xmas Day
Dermot O'Leary's Time Capsules
Suzi Q's Motown
Boxing Day
Sting on a Winter's Day
Bon Jovi's Guide to Rock With Ritchie Sambora
Radio 2 live: Bon Jovi
The Record Producers
New Years Eve
The Beatles: Here, There and Everywhere
Thank You For The Music: a celebration of the Music of Abba
Mika
Dave Pearce
New Years Day
Chaka Khan
In the Lounge with Justin Lee Collins
What are your highlights and must listen to shows/programmes etc. |

I note with disapointment that there is no Drivetime shows in between Xmas & New Year. I used to enjoy Bob Harris' stints in this slot.
Instead there are a few repeats- i'll tune into Barbra Streisand- the way i Am with gambo on Monday 28th.
Otherwise the Christmas week on R2 seems rather disapointing this year.
I'll tune in for evans'last Drive time shows |

I too am disappointed that Bob Harris isn't doing any Drivetime shows this year. I'll continue to avoid Evans like the plague. Also why no Mark Lamarr on Christmas day? I liked to hear his 'Alternative' Christmas tracks. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

To be honest, with this kind of schedule, I doubt I'll switch Radio 2 on much over Christmas except for weekday mornings. |

Just looking at Mark's little schedule list.....
Yuk! None of that for me, thank you, bah humbug.
I'll be looking to Radio 3.
Hmm, another Messiah on Xmas Day, hmm isn't Easter more appropriate for Handel's oratorio??
Hmm, can't find an R3 listing for the Christmas period, I might have to buy a Radio Times! _________________ -

I buy Radio Times every week and its so annoying to tune in for something listed to find it is completely wrong. _________________ Pirate Johnnie Walker played my request on 11 April 2009 |
