Is Mark Goodier on holiday at the moment, and if so how long can we expect Chris Evans to be standing in for him because, in my opinion, he is doing a very poor job.
Is anyone else missing Mark already? |

I disagree! Chris is very funny- much bbetter than Mark goodyear or Mr macaroni
Had me cackling on the train home this evening. When he told the doctor "The Fox has a little fox inside her" it just touched my funnybone |

I would cringe hearing Evans say that, yet if Sarah said it I would smile. Why is that? |

It's Maconie not Macaronie - it's such a cheap joke _________________ I was trying to daydream, but my mind kept wandering. |

Cheap joke from an expensive scam man, IMHO.

I get up just too late for Sarah's show. I used to enjoy her in the mornings.
Maybe you just don't like Chris?
I had notthought he was shouting these days, but I had the radio on in the kitchen while I was preparing dinner, & my mom came in the kitchen. She said "Why is he shouting?"
Maybe he needs to calm down a bit more
He's doing a good job, tho! |

NO definitely NOT. I was hoping we had heard the last of him for a while.
He even stood in for MR last night They should tell MR to buy a house near the studio if it's going to get that windy again. Was MG just hanging around outside waiting for a fill-in job ? |

That was weird. Too windy to make it to work.
I though RA was the one who hung around desperately looking for a fill in job? _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Was he? Listening on line now. Sounds good to me. I heard Mark G mentioning when he covered for Aled who was covering for Sarah that he lives close, and tells them to call him in when they get stuck so they do. He's part of R2 set up in front of the mic and behind the scenes. I reckon he might get his own gig on 2 one day soon? |

The same thing happen to Marc "Lard" Riley on 6 Music
last night. Lamacq and Sean Keaveney filled in. Mark & Lard both off due to the weather on the same night. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Mark covered for Chris show pretty well so if he's moving Mark could be lined up to take it over, if he wants a show? |

I've always found Mark a bit cheesy and a bit smarmy and I've never really enjoyed any of his previous deputising (his atrocious handling of Popmaster for instance) but I felt that he seemed really comfortable in the Drivetime hot seat.
The show didn't have that childish element contained within the CE format and he sounded genuinely interested in his guests and callers instead of just reading pre written questions from a sheet of paper.
I am really disappointed that he has been axed without being given a fair crack of the whip and that Evans has returned again. Maybe the BBC will take note of the rise in listener figures while Mark was in control of Drivetime and reinstate him.
Goodier for Drivetime!! Hurrah! |
