I listened last night to the show and was not impressed, the first hour was just repeats of bits of the Electric Proms from last week, Jo Whiley saying 'Jamiraqui are coming on at 9 o'clock' at least 20 times and a giggly nonsense interview with a new group (whose name starts with a K), with questions like 'each describe yourselves'
Then the start of the second hour (I didn't listen that long), I just don't see what people like about Jamiraqui

My son loves to play JK in his car and I must admit it sounds just great with the wick turned up on a decent sound system. Funky! |

Ah Funky that's what I missed
Just sounds like someone doing a Stevie Wonder (or similar) track over and over again |

Just spent the last hour listening to In Concert tonight featuring a fantastic recording of the Manics headline set at Glastonbury in 2007
The show was supposed to feature a special gig for Radio 2 by them from their local venue Blackwood Miners Institute in Blackwood South Wales but unfortunately it was cancelled because James Dean Bradfield was ill and I would tell you what was wrong but I can't spell it so lets just say a problem with his voice
This follows their recent British tour where several gigs had to be cancelled for the same reason but I was lucky enough to go to three of the gigs which went ahead and it was well worth the effort
The Blackwood gig has been rearranged for January 27th and any Radio 2 listeners who were lucky enough to be allocated tickets can go assuming they are available on that date
I'm looking forward to it already _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

He's been ill for a while. ISTR he had to cancel his spot on R&M's show a while back. |
