Thanks very much. I don't think the East Cheshire or South Yorkshire areas do much in terms of sticks of rock but I had a nice, if wet, time.

Was it cold up there, Ian? I remember a time I visited the Yorkshire Dales (must be circa 1989) with my family. I would have been 11 at the time. All I can remember is how wet and cold it was! |

Thanks, Scott. Actually Yorkshire is 'down there' to us but yes, it was cold. Yesterday morning we were on the A6 at Disley, Cheshire, and cars coming down from Buxton had a layer of snow on them. Later we were on the A628, in the Woodhead area, and, though the road itself was clear, there was a significant dusting of snow on the surrounding hills.
