I'll give you a couple more tracks

Automatic Lover - Dee D Jackson
Flowers in the Window - Travis

Have you been listening on a Thursday night to Sounds of the 20th Century?
If you were listening a couple of weeks ago the answer was in that programme

I'll give you a bit longer to have a think about it before I give any more clues Smile

Yes Schiz, close enough - the link was actually original Radio One Presenters so well done and have a crack at guessing the fourth track

I won't give any clues just yet - it's not too difficult Smile

No sorry Graham, it's not any record by Tony but the name you are looking for is probably almost as well known Smile

I can't think of any songs/artists with Peel in them so I'll go for Make It Easy On Yourself by The Walker Brothers (though not sure if JW was an original Radio One jock).

Perhaps it should be My (pirate) Ship Is Coming In!

No sorry Schiz - I believe Johnnie Walker joined in 1970

The name you're looking for is very famous but you need to find the correct track which links Smile

No sorry Angel - wrong presenter

I'll give you a musical clue

The original version of the track you are looking for was released in the 60's but this song has since been a hit track for two separate artists since then the most successful version being in the 90's

Hope that helps Smile

I'm rather stumped on this one - the only very tenuous link I can come up with is Girls

Bunny Girls
California Girls

But the first track doesn't fit unless it's something like Weather Girls Confused

Well I suppose that perhaps suggests a Shakespeare link but I still don't really get it

Dream - A Midsummer Nights Dream?
Roses - The War of the Roses?

Am I getting any nearer - I'm not very good on English Literature Sad

No, it's not a Shakespeare link.

Think back to the name of a television series in the 1980s featuring a female police inspector, that might help.

Well that suggests to me Juliet Bravo featuring Anna Carteret and later I think some other actress called Stephanie ( can't remember her other name) but I still don't get the link Sad

I remember the series very well - her sidekick was called Joe and it was set in Yorkshire I think a fictional place called Hartley - perhaps I'm missing the obvious Confused

The only other thing I can think of is the phonetic alphabet Confused

Indiana Wants Me - R Dene Taylor
Wonderwall - Mike Flowers Pops
Whiskey in the Jar - Thin Lizzy

Working for the Yankee Dollar - Skids
Too Good to be Forgotten - Amazulu

Good guess, Graham, I hadn't thought of that one. The one I had in mind was Whiskey in the Jar by Thin Lizzy, so well done Ruddles.

OK here's the next link

Tell It To My Heart - Taylor Dayne
Keep on Running - Spencer Davies Group
Cruel to be Kind - Nick Lowe

Quite an easy link I think Very Happy

Oh you're very close Graham I'm inclined to give you that - former snooker players but to get the actual link you need to come up with what they do now (or in the case of Lowe did before his sad demise)

Just a bit more information needed

Yes well done Graham absolutely correct Smile

So now I need the fourth track in the link - I'm not going to give any clues at this stage because I think it is fairly obvious

I'll guess

Eighth Day - Hazel O'Connor

I'm afraid I don't know much about snooker but I think Hazel Irvine commentates. Sad

No sorry Angel - I think she's more a presenter rather than a commentator but I'm sure you should get it fairly soon simply because there are relatively few names to choose from

I'll leave it a bit longer before I give a musical clue

Actually the commentator concerned used to live just up the road from one of my old addresses Smile

No sorry not the right track - it might help you to think of a TV series which I seem to recall was around in the 70's or early 80's with a definite avian link in its title Very Happy

What a great answer Angel - I'd definitely have used that one if I'd thought of it Very Happy

With the avian link think of a TV mini series in 1983 which was taken from a 1977 novel by an Australian female author - very well known at the time

The track you are looking for was a hit in the mid 80's by artists who were probably up among the biggest of that decade and who continue to enjoy successful solo careers still in the music business Smile
