Radio4Extra put this out on Saturday as a 90 minute programme. Simon Callow told the life story of Dickens with many references to particular works and with his own interpretations of various characters.

I thought it worked well and certainly the time sped by. Perhaps some people have had enough of Dickens already but as far as I'm concerned I can never have enough. I'm just about to start reading The Pickwick Papers for the first time.
