What did you do, listen to or have happen?
My W7 laptop sort of died for 2 weeks, the Profile disappeared whatever that meant, and I was told there was some corruption on files and hard drive. It's fixed for now but it makes you think where to go next....... I have a tablet so not completely out of touch but it makes you realise how much you depend on you computer!
Managed to get tickets for the John Wilson tour at Bridgewater Hall in December. It's normally announced earlier in the year and I was beginning to think there may not be one. There is a Prom from him also which I'll post about elsewhere.
OH had a significant birthday around Easter time so a bit of celebrating done.
I'm having visitors from the US again in 10 days time so of course it's been tidy, clean, and gardening. Everything is late with the bad weather. Was anyone cut off with the Beast from the East or the Son of B from E?
I listened to a fair bit of R2 but have gone over to Magic in the mornings with Ronan Keating and Harriet Scott so keep forgetting to switch back to Ken! Enjoyed Craig Revel Horwood's music while EP was away.
Missed being able to post about stuff on here as well!

I don't listen to that much R2 now, lately I have been listening to some of the BBC local stations. BBC Oxford, Surrey & Solent at various times & days & and also Time 107.5, an ILR station with one of the better 'breakfast' shows.
The only significant thing to happen to me so far this year is a week in Germany where my mate & I went to an air show at Friedrichshafen, really a trade show rather that the usual display of aerobatics type of airshow. And we also had hot, sunny weather, so didn't lose out by missing the UK's first heatwave of this year!
My next significant birthday is next year!! _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

My laptop is being looked at in the repair shop,Helen. It's still going but is very slow. Was thinking of getting a new one but the chap in the shop said he could put a new something (?) in it that will speed it up. He was due to ring me yesterday to tell me what he has done...he didn't. Hopefully he will today. I have a desk computer..a tablet and an iPhone so I'm not missing it too much, although it's handy for connecting to the TV.
Had a family get together,in Manchester, at Easter...was rather cold....brr. We were hoping to have a walk round Alderley Edge but because of the weather that didn't happen. Didn't stop us having fun though and we still did some walking in nearby Longford Park.
Has anyone heard any of the comedy showcase programmes on Radio 2 .. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00s0yw1/episodes/player?page=2
I keep meaning to have a listen to some of them but haven't got round to it...I really don't know where the time goes!
I might start with this one ....Jeremy Vine: Agony Uncle ... https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0b093b2
I have no allegiance, now,to any one radio station .. I bob around the stations listening to what takes my fancy.
Have never heard of Friedrichshafen,LEE so just looked it up....and see that ..Ferdinand von Zeppelin established his famous dirigible factory there at the end of the 19th century. |

Hello Becky,
They still have a hanger there where a Zeppelin airship is kept. I believe it was giving pleasure flights. It was lovely to see it flying around. It it some years since I last saw an airship flying. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |
