If I'd been at work and had to listen everyday, then I'd have complained. But as I wasn't, I didn't, so I didn't...!
156 is probably the only listeners left by the end of the week! |

I think that there must be loads of listeners who have simply given up on the idea of complaining to Ms. D simply because they know it will be a complete waste of time and effort. |

I didn't see the point in complaining - Lesley Douglas made it clear she knows best over the Chris Evans fiasco. The response from the BBC shows that they ignore their listeners.
I thought Davina was abysmal - I stopped after 25 mins and then got the start of Wednesday's show in the car. If I get done for speeding, it's cos I was so busy trying to turn her off, I forgot about the speed camera
I have listened less to R2 this week than I have in years, even though I am at home when I can listen. There wasn't even anything worth listening to on Listen Again - apart from the 5 records Steve Harley got to play on SOT70's at midnight on Thursday.

I didn't complain either, as what is the use, it's not taken into account when schedules are changed.
At the end of the day Lesley Douglas seems to like taking on celebs to present shows that no one wants to listen to.
I can't remember a time when I've listened less to Radio 2 in many, many years. I can't see things improving either which is the worrying aspect of it all.

I'm listening to 5live on freeview and on the screen is:
"Davina McCall's stint as a stand-in host on BBC Radio 2 attracts more than 150 complaints from listeners"
Will anyone else care to own up, or did Dame Lesley trawl these boards? _________________ Geddon

The Daily Mail quoted a couple of messages from the POV radio board in their piece on the matter.

Lesley Dudglass can't be human, as we all make mistakes, and she never does. Have you ever heard her say "ok, maybe I was wrong"? I thought not.
Well Have I got news for you, love: You made an almighty clanger by giving the Ken Bruce show to DM. Go on, admit it! _________________ MiS |

She's given the KB show to worse in the recent past.
How many tracks will be played before AJ asks the listeners to text / e-mail on some drival topic, you know the usual standin time filling format?. I say 2. |

How come R2OK doesnt get quoted in these articles? We need to sound more crazy if we are going to get quoted |
Who will employ her full time? Ken Bruce not moving shows? Only a joke!! but with the state some ideas the network has you never know. |

Heart no, too much talk and fast for her inbetween the links, Magic less talk or Smooth London with more interaction and lifestyle. |

Coincidence or does he know where Douglas' bodies are buried! |
They're also Channel 4 loudmouths. |

Mark,
I very much doubt Davina McCall will join either Heart or Magic. She's done various stints on Radio 2, which makes me wonder if she is being groomed for a slot on the station.
Saturday afternoons or Sunday mornings perhaps? |

What, after that Ken Bruce fill in fiasco? Lesley would be out of her tree to push that idea...
so, I wonder when she'll start then? _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Davina McCall once sat in for His Royal Smugness on Sunday Love Songs. It was the one time I wanted Steve back! |
