I'm afraid I do not understand that statement. Please explain?
I am merely indirectly asking what is assumed to be interesting about a web cam picture that is posted without comment. Is that not reasonable? Are you not being overly defensive about something?
I cannot see what the problem is, but if you can then please enlighten us more. |

It's amazing what you can see on some of the Webcams. If you care to look through this thread you will see. |

My days are too busy to be trawling the BBC webcams, to be honest. They just show people doing jobs (we assume). Still, each to his/her own. |

It might be worth looking at the Ken Bruce webcam today! What's that written on the back of his T shirt? Can he be heard on Planet Rock?!

Is that the Planet Rock radio station logo? Bit curious to wear that to a BBC show. |

Are we playing Spot The Difference, Mark?
It's a good job I haven't been drinking. I might have thought I had double vision. _________________ Ron |

She's been driving the desk on her Saturday morning show for a while now, but for some reason still gets someone else to do it when she sits in for Ken Bruce. _________________ Fred Hart

Just because she's sat on the presenter side of the desk doesn't mean that she's driving it. The SM could still be running the show from the control room whilst she merely talks and checks the details of callers, texters and emailers on the screen in front of her. |

I'm sure this man is driving the desk himself, as he's been doing it for over 100 years If you look closely at Zoe Ball it looks like the music etc, is on one of the screens. Looking at others like Alan Carr when he's that side of the desk they are blank. You can take the word blank regarding Alan Carr anyway you like...

It still doesn't mean that she's driving. |

There have been some complaints on forums regarding Radio 2 presenters looking like they not driving the desk on the webcam by sitting on there other side with someone else in the driving seat. So stick the presenter at the desk, and lets pretend they are... |

Why should it matter where they're seated whilst presenting? Who cares? It's radio, for heaven's sake! |

From those pics I'd say they are both taken in Ken Bruce's studio which I was shown around when I did some website testing. At the time Ken had moved across from the old building and JV and others hadn't.
From memory the screen to Zoe's right is the emails etc, the one directly on her left is the jingles screen and the far left I think was the music info one.
The SM and producer can both sit in the other half of the studio.

Vanessa in for Jeremy hiding face behind the mic.

One of the downsides, design flaws even of studio mics, Mark, is that that you have to be quite close to them to talk into them. If Vanessa wanted to hide, I think she's choose something with more scale to it than a mic.
Optimisim is a good thing though. |
