Can't seem to find the search on the website Angela. Are you using the App on a tablet or website on laptop/computer?

Go to Home page. Scroll down until you see Music, on the left, underneath the presenter's photos. Click on it. Then click on Songs we've just played on Boom Radio (it has a psychedelic guitar and is next to Frank Sinatra pic).

Then you will see Playlist Search.

Ah found it, thank you Raver!

I clicked on the Boom Light first and saw they had just played 'I Love Lucy', the theme of which I'm guessing. My Granny loved that show!

My ol' Mum couldn't bear Lucy's voice! I remember it being on a lot, but back then, there were only two channels to choose from.

But I did watch Nicole Kidman as Lucy in Being the Ricardos, on Amazon Prime, sometime last year, which I fould irresistible. Well worth a watch. That Desi Arnaz was a right old philanderer.

R2 audience continues to shrink...quelle surprise!

Also, it says here that GHR are going to open a 60's based station fronted by Ken. Whoop whoop!

Yep, grim reading for BBC Radio with only Radio 1 getting (slightly) more listeners. Radio 2 losing 1m overal and 1.5m in Ken's slot should set alarm bells off.

Also of note is the average amount of time spent listening to Radio 2 has fallen below 10 hours per week for the first time ever, which I think would reflect the trend on here.

Very rarely post on hear as Radio 2 has gradually become less and less relevant to me. The latest news does not surprise me one bit.

However, I have discovered all is not lost as various other radio outlets seem to be cropping up to fill the gaps abandoned by Radio 2. Apart frrom the obvious "Greatest Hits" radio, there is Boom Radio and Boom Radio Light and I have also discovered John Bennett's Sunday Club on Radio Ulster. It's available to listen to on BBC Sounds.

Apparently Magic's figures were up too according to Emma B at lunchtime yesterday. Must admit Radio 2 isn't on very much in our house these days and like Eric MC I seem to hop all over the dials during the day.

Haven't seen or heard how Boom faired this time.

I haven't listened to John Bennett's Sunday Club for many years. It's a lovely listen Radio Ulster is a really good station. I used to listen to Gerry Anderson in the mornings as well. Sorely missed. Ralph McLean has a good showas well.

Anyway, just come on for a minor rant. It turns out that Ken and his 60's show is only available to subscribers. So they can stick that where the sun doesn't shine.

At the moment, that'd be Britain!

I haven't listened to Sunday Club for a long time either Raver. Must give it a go on Listen Again (sounds better than 'Sounds' to me!) There were always a few good tracks on it.

Yeah, they're up on the last quarter, but for some reason 12-18 months they lost loads of listeners so their current ratings are way off where they were a year ago.

I wonder why Ian, can't say I've noticed much of a change. I don't like the Drive time guy who replaced Richard Allinson, so switched over to Boom.

Would that possibly be down to having a few branches, like Magic Musicals, Magic Soul, etc? Not forgetting Magic at Christmas!

Latest figures are out.

Radio 2 (having lost 1m listeners last quarter) have held steady.

Year-on-year, Boom Radio is up 49% and Greatest Hits Radio is up 80%

Vernon Kay has the UK's most listened-to show, but is 1.4m down on Ken Bruce's final figures. Kay is on 6.9m and Bruce is now on 3.7m, with Mayo on 2.5m also at GHR.

Not surprised that Greatest Hits are up with ken's defection. Apparently he receives the MBE tomorrow.

Boom also not a surprise, I don't like all of it but I think Simon Bates' arrival a good move. Have enjoyed both of his shows when I've listened.

Latest figures are out, and more grim reading for the BBC

BBC Radio 1 is down 6% from 7.7m to 7.3m. It has 8.10m listeners aged 10+ and the Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Greg James reports 4.29m 10+ listeners.

BBC Radio 2 is down slightly from 13.4m to 13.3m listeners with 6.56m tuning in for The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show.

BBC Radio 3 is down from 2m to 1.8m listeners.

BBC Radio 4 is down slightly from 9.3m to 9.1m listeners with 5.7m tuning in for The Today programme.

Overall, commercial radio figures have gone up 1m year-on-year while the BBC have gone down.

Greatest Hits Radio has gone up 70% in the last twelve months, largely thanks to Ken Bruce. Another triumph for BBC management!

Greatest Hits has a good foot-hold now.
If they really get their act together, there's plenty of scope for more massive damage to R2.
